DIY: Daisy Crop Top
This crop top is an example of why you shouldn't always dismiss a piece because it is ill-fitting. It was given to me a few months ago by my sister whom accidentally bought the wrong size. Knowing I could potentially fix the problem and turn it into a little DIY project, I decided to take it off her hands. After confirming with her that I could cut it up, I had a bunch of ideas pop to my head. One of which, ended up being this beautiful daisy trim detail on the sides. It took me less than 5 minutes to do, and I have received many compliments thus far.
Since it was on the larger side, I cut off the sides to remove the excess fabric, and leave open for a cut-out effect. A dab of hot glue on each end, and WHALAA~ Now the crop top fits to perfection with a little personal touch.
Below is how I styled the crop top with my current favorite pair of pants from The LA Fuss. If you are loving these pants, be sure to enter my Instagram contest that features a gracious $50 gift card to their store. The giveaway ends tonight at 9PM PST, so get on it! Look out for my next post that will show another way I style this top. Think of it as a two-fer. :)
