LA Spots: Zinc Cafe & Market
It was one of those days where I felt it in my bones that it was going to be a good day. Starting it off with a little brunch at Zinc Café was just the beginning. It was my first time there and not surprised at all by the layout and trendiness of it since it is located in the Arts District. There are tons of hidden gems in the Arts District as they hide between industrial buildings and factories, and Zinc Café was not an exception.
The café, along with its' mini market, is a very open space with large windows all around. The ambiance during brunch/lunch was very casual and quiet. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, so I was greeted with a very calming atmosphere with no hustle and bustle. Initially, I was worried that the "hipster" café would be lackluster and not filling for my belly, like I have encountered in other places, but boy, was it delicious and surprisingly both light and filling! I will definitely be back to try other brunch dishes, and I am curious to see the night scene and try its' menu.
Chill ambiance, dog friendly, street parking (if you're lucky), vegetarian, delicious, indoor/outdoor seating, grab to-go market place
Middle of nowhere, $5 parking lot, pricey-ish, uncomfortable outdoor furniture
