LA Spots - Two a Tea (Afternoon Tea)
One thing is for sure, you do not say no to your toddler niece to join her for a tea party. It was just the cutest scenario possible, and I am glad she asked me to have afternoon tea with her. Today is officially her 4th birthday party and I cannot be more happy to see her excitement.
This was my first time having afternoon tea, and I absolutely loved it! They have the cutest displays and I felt like I was transported to a completely different era! We visited the afternoon tea room, Two a Tea, in Glendora. It is a tiny spot far away from the congested big streets and right in a quaint neighborhood. They have a few set options you can choose from, but my family and I went with "The Queens Tea", which included a pot of tea, a scone, sorbet, an array of finger sandwiches, and our choice of dessert.
Two a Tea has such a great ambiance that we spent a solid 2 hours there. There was no rush or push from the staff to make quicker decisions or to eat faster, just a calming and relaxing atmosphere. I entered the situation thinking there was no way I would leave satisfyingly full, but surprisingly, I did! It definitely had to do with the amount of tea you consume, and the no rush environment when consuming each course. Overall, I had a great time at my first afternoon tea experience. I am now fully converted to having afternoon tea more often as a means to catch up with my friends and family, and without the otherwise hastiness of life.
