#PoshStyle - What is Poshmark?

Cherry blossom season is among us, and boy are they gorgeous! They are the perfect backdrop, along with the Koi pond and bonsai trees, to highlight this cute dress I purchased on Poshmark.

What is Poshmark?
An app that allows you to sell your used clothes as well as purchasing goods from other closets at a lower cost. They handle all the logistics, including shipping and returns, so it is a pretty seamless process. All you have to do is take pictures of the item, input your prices and description, and just wait for it to get purchased! Once it is sold, ship it out with the label Poshmark provides and you are good to go.

The Catch?
It is completely free to download and post, but once it is purchased, Poshmark gets a piece of the money. A flat rate or $2.95 for items under $15 and 20% of anything more than $15.

Why I like it.
I have tons of clothes sitting in my closet that are only lightly worn that needs to be given more love by someone. Although I'll only make a fraction back of what I paid for an item, at least it has a new home, and gives me more space for my closet! Not to mention, more money back in your pocket or towards any other Poshmark item you're eyeing, but do not necessarily want to pay full price for in the stores. When there is an item in the store I want with a higher price point, I normally check Poshmark first. Occasionally, you will be able to find brand new items at a lower cost because people just want to get rid of it. It is a win-win situation if you ask me. :)

There are a few other platforms out there similar to Poshmark that I would love to learn more about. Let me know your experience if you tried other apps to sell/buy clothing in the comment section!
